Students First Photo Opportunity May 3, 2011

We had some camera difficulties today so half of the pictures the class took are missing.  I think you'll be able to get the whole picture here though through these photos.  The first half were taken by the old main entrance through the fence.  The students wrote on their photos for me to copy here.

Matt A. -"I took this picture through the fence right near the site.  I took this because it was big part of the new school wing."

Ethan B. - "This picture was taken in front of the school.  it was taken to show the progress."

Anthony C. - "I took a pictue of the working dudes cause I liked it."

Andrew C. - "I took a picture of a cement mixer.  I took this picture because I have never seen this before."

Piper L. - "I took this picture of the top of the progress made from the building which will be the gym."

Kate H. - "This is a picture of the bottom of the building of the new school.  I took this picture because it shows you what it will look like all the way to the top."

Molly M.  - "This is a picture of scaffolding.  It lets them stand high and work."

Kathryn P. - "I took a picture from inside the main office to show the progress they madeof the left wall and how they are working and the tools they use. "

Mrs. Teague took these photos.  This was early spring construction and the kids hadn't gotten a chance to go out to shoot any pictures as of yet.

Classroom Visit From Greg and Paul

On March 28, 2011 Greg and Paul the construction/school liasons came to talk with the students about the building of the new school.
They showed us plans and told us about all the site work that had already been done.

The kids listened intently and learned all the different terms that go along with school construction.

The men were nervous, not knowing what the kids were going to ask.  The kids asked great questions and learned a lot today!
